CD Replication is a manufacturing process for audio CDs, CD-ROMs, video CDs and other CD formats. It is an industrial process which until recently has only been economical as a means to manufacture quantities of CDs over 500 units. The reason for this is that the set up costs of CD Replication are expensive, but our continued investment in technology and the latest equitment means that we can now offer runs as low as 100 units. The benefits of our low unit production costs, make this method highly preferable to CD Duplication, and the end result is a pressed CD, like you would find in a high-street music store.
Replicated CDs usually have a silver data side, differing from their duplicated counterparts (which are usually dyed blue or green). The data itself is not visible on the silver surface, whereas the ‘burned’ area of a duplicated CD can be seen as a slightly different shade of colour.
Suitable for quantities of 200 units and over.
